Breakfast at SSCY

Specialized Services for Children and Youth (SSCY) invites you to our monthly learning series, Breakfast at SSCY. This month’s session features Dr. Kristene Cheung and Dr. Leslie E. Roos, who will present on Implementing BEAM for Families of Children on Neurodevelopmental waitlists: A Dual-Generation Mental Health Program to Reduce Parenting Stress and Promote Positive Child Outcomes.

This session will introduce the BEAM program for children on neurodevelopmental waitlists, outline plans for a brief Implementation Knowledge Exchange event to support seamless program implementation with the Child Development Clinic and the Manitoba FASD Centre and describe an upcoming pilot trial for Manitoban families. Participants will learn about the program’s goals, evidence base, and anticipated impact, while gaining insight into opportunities for the organization to engage in the pilot that will inform larger-scale funding applications and sustainable services to address family mental health and child development needs.
