Overview

The Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) is committed to all aspects of the quality improvement process. In pursuing its objectives, RCC follows the process established by Accreditation Canada and the Health Standards Organization, including self-assessment questionnaires and tools, development of quality plans, and following up on Accreditation Canada recommendations.

RCC participates in regular accreditation processes through the Shared Health/Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) regional accreditation processes. RCC also conducts its own independent process of accreditation through Accreditation Canada. At our latest Accreditation Visit, RCC was awarded Accreditation with Exemplary Status.

Quality teams aligned with the accreditation standards meet on a regular basis to review the standards, and to oversee implementation of any accreditation recommendations and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
