School Therapy Services (STS)
RCC offers occupational therapy and physiotherapy services to children in schools through the Outreach Therapy Department.
Overview
Therapists take a consultative collaborative approach to support inclusion and participation of all students. Together with school teams, therapists will help students reach their full potential and ensure the environment is accessible for all.
The team includes registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
Referrals can be made by school teams after a pre-referral discussion with the therapist.
Families will be contacted prior to the referral being submitted to obtain consent. We encourage families to reach out to the school team if they feel a referral is needed. The therapist will provide updates to families on services provided through written reports and at school meetings. Therapists can answer your questions at any time.
