Overview

The Assistive Technology Department helps children with disabilities reach their potential through the use of specialized equipment. The team will meet with you to learn more about your child’s strengths and goals.

Assistive technology can come in many different forms.  Some examples of assistive technology can include:

  • Wheelchairs, walkers, specialized bikes, and motorized ride-on toys can be used to help children move more easily.
  • Specialized seating and standing devices are used to help improve positioning to allow kids to develop strong and healthy bones while being in a comfortable position to learn, play, or eat.
  • Computer and tablet access equipment to learn, play, or communicate.
  • Ramps, lift systems, or smart home technology to improve home accessibility.
  • Bathing equipment for proper positioning and safety.

The Assistive Technology team is made up of many different individuals to help provide you with the best service.
