The Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) supports children and youth in Manitoba and surrounding areas (including Nunavut and Northwest Ontario) in achieving their goals and participating in their communities. We provide services to children and youth with physical and developmental challenges. Together, with children, youth, families and our partners, we promote excellence in children’s rehabilitation and developmental pediatrics through innovative clinical service, education, research and technologies. We promote evidence-based practice in a family-centred care environment.

    The Rehabilitation Centre for Children requires an Occupational Therapist to fill a term vacancy for a full-time position beginning January 8, 2018 and ending December 21, 2018. This is a 10 month (school year) position and is 6.5 hours per day. There is no work during the school break periods.

    The incumbent will provide OT service to children attending Seven Oaks School Division (.7), Winnipeg School Division General school service (.2), Private School services (.1)


    • Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Licensure by the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Physical fitness for lifting and bending and handling children.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within an inter-disciplinary team.
    • Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Experience working with children with disabilities would be an asset.
    • A valid Manitoba Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
    • Mileage expenses are paid at the government rate.
    • Salary as per current union scale. (CUPE)
    • Employment is subject to criminal records and child abuse registry checks.
